Honestly, the Wintergreen CC Axe really doesn't have much value other than for collector purposes. The only Wintergreen weapons that I've seen that fetch a decent price are the spear, wand, shield and bow, because they actually have a use in certain situations (primarily PvP).

The bow is shortbow, how could it possibly be useful? If it were recurve at least you could interrupt.

Because it provides more damage (15-15) than the best no requirement bow (9-13), it actually works in some builds where you have a ranger secondary that utilizes one bow attack for its secondary effect (e.g. Pin Down).

They can't be very rare if EVERY person who helped try out their tournament house system received one wintergreen weapon just for participating. And you only had to guess at least 1 of...40? to get another weapon.

I think most people ended up with at least 2.

Gaile reported in one of her posts that less than 30,000 people participated in the Xunlai Tournament House contest. That was when they decided to give an additional weapon just for participating.

So, rough figures - less than 60,000 of all weapons are now in the game. That includes the Tournament winners awards. Now how many of each weapon is something we will never know.

By the way, I chose a staff and a wand as the damage stat doesn't matter that much. I don't usually stand there wanding a foe to death. With the proper mods, they are the equal of any caster weapon. (If I did want to wand someone to death, I would just switch to a higher damage stat weapon.)
